1911 Reproduction on Ebay
This 1911 was sold on eBay just before Christmas last year for just over $35k. Original motor and frame with the other parts being reproduction. It is not running and needs only a belt, paint and plating, plus final commissioning. It’s a lovely bike and no doubt very correct as it was built by Lonnie Islam at Competition. Bikes like this are great for reference purposes and give a true market guide to what these bikes are worth. And maybe also a guide as to what bikes with original parts might be worth (maybe).
Painted fenders
These are the fenders back from the pin stripe guy. They look as good as we could have expected and now the forks are built we can start to re-assemble the bike.

These are the repop forks back from the striper. They look spot on.

Last fenders back from the painter
The last set of fenders came back from the painter. Next stage is off to the striper.
1912 muffler
It helps in this hobby if you know good people who can help you out with good parts.
I got this original front muffler casting from Mark Masa along with the outer casing, the spring clip and the inner pipe. I then contacted Tim Thoele who makes complete repro mufflers for early Harley and Yale motorcycles and he supplied the missing rear casting. All I need now is the centre rod and I have the complete system.
